Chapter Four
Standing in the early morning light, for once completely naked and unashamed of it, Sean looked at himself in the little mirror that was all he would allow himself. Vanity was a sin, and as long as he looked presentable, that was good enough.
The image it reflected back to him was familiar enough. At first. A tall, slender man with pale skin, big dark eyes, and brown hair that was inclined to messiness no matter how much he brushed it.
But then he turned around, and any sense of familiarity ceased.
Part of it, of course, was that he didn't look at himself from behind very often, and when he did, he was never naked. But there was more than that to it.
He'd awoken early this morning, unable to sleep more, no matter how he tried. When the sun started to rise, he'd given up, and sat up in bed, moving to get out of it. But it hurt. His ass hurt, it was sore and tender, and not just on the surface skin, but deep inside him too. Where Adriel's finger had been.
It was then that he'd gone to the mirror, trying to work up the courage to turn around, to see what he knew would be there.
No matter what Adriel did to him, no matter what they did together, Sean had always come back from it unscathed. Physically, at least. The wash of his own come over his body was the most he brought back, and that seemed to happen in the physical world and not the dream world.
He turned, looked over his shoulder, and closed his eyes in resignation.
The skin on the small curve of his ass was pink. Bright, painful, stinging pink. He could even make out the marks of Adriel's strong hand on it.
So what did it mean?
Abruptly, Sean turned away from the mirror, heading into the bathroom. He didn't care what it meant. He didn't know.
It meant that he had to pray harder, more sincerely, for redemption, forgiveness.
He turned the water in the shower as hot as it would go, but it just made the abused skin, already so sensitive, sting more.
And the worst part was, part of him loved it. Part of him wanted to reach around and touch the sensitive skin, to make it hurt more. And he was sure, if he did, that he would have the most amazing orgasm from it.
